Controller

UHY LLP offers an onsite, permanent Controller role in Canaan, CT with a competitive annual salary of USD 100,000 to 125,000. This position puts you in a hands-on leadership position over full-cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and HR duties including payroll and benefits. You will be the primary financial operations liaison, contributing to a collaborative, team-driven culture while shaping how the organization manages its finances.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance
• Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HR-related processes
• Develop and sustain budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting workflows
• Drive process improvements and clean up existing accounting records
• Act as the main point of contact for financial operations within the company

Requirements

• Proven controllership experience in small to mid-sized business environments
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• Knowledge of payroll, benefits, and HR processes
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• Hands-on, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
