Job Description

Strategic Financial Analyst and Finance Business Partner supporting the Enterprise Technology unit at Jack Henry & Associates, based in Allen, TX with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts highly sophisticated analyses of cash flow, operating results, and business plans to assess rates of return, capital and cash flow requirements, and related metrics.
  • Develops, interprets, and applies financial concepts for planning and control processes.
  • Collects, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trend-based future requirements, and operating forecasts.
  • Performs economic research and studies in areas such as returns, depreciation, working capital needs, investment opportunities, investment performance, and government impact.
  • Evaluates and analyzes capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
  • Documents revenues and expected expenditures and prepares summary statements and documentation.
  • Serves as a consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications.
  • Prepares special studies, analyses, and recommendations for budgets, business forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, and statistical reports.
  • May assist less experienced peers.
  • May act as a team leader.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience in strategic finance, P&L ownership, accounting, finance business partnering, finance operations, corporate finance, or FP&A, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, expense analysis, and management reporting.
  • Experience in FinTech/SaaS or technology organizations, or directly supporting a technical business unit.
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency with the ability to build financial models.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen and a desire to deepen knowledge of the business and industry.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including late evenings or overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% for internal meetings, trainings, and professional conferences.
