Job Description

Citi offers a compelling opportunity in Getzville, NY, onsite, with a competitive salary range of USD 125,200 to 187,800 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. This senior compliance risk role within Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) focuses on establishing strategies, policies, and programs to prevent violations, building a risk framework aligned with Citi's risk appetite, and delivering day-to-day compliance guidance to support CRM program solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of best-in-class compliance programs, policies, and practices for ICRM.
Translate ICRM strategy and goals across Citi’s clients, products, and geographies; provide direction and guidance on programs.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Citi’s Compliance programs; offer real-time regulatory guidance to manage compliance risk across functions, businesses, and products.
Stay current on changes to rules, regulations, and industry developments, including regulatory findings.
Oversee monitoring and identification of regulatory developments, enforcement actions, and new laws, regulations, rules, interpretations, or guidance related to the supported function, business, or product.
Analyze and scope the impact of complex regulatory developments across senior function and product areas, including cross-border impacts.
Advise ICRM and function/business/product management and personnel on regulatory and compliance issues, providing credible challenge.
Participate in industry groups, trade associations, and other forums as appropriate.
Lead high-impact initiatives and manage special project work streams to deliver solutions, including coordinating the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
Manage strategy and responses to regulatory examinations, reviews, inquiries, internal and external investigations, as well as testing and audits.
Design and lead compliance and control reviews.
Partner with other ICRM teams and global functions, including Legal, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Finance, to prevent and detect non-compliance and promote a culture of compliance.
Additional duties as assigned.
Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws and policies, and escalating and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

Deep knowledge of compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
Self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptable
Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized
Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex problems and solutions clearly
Ability to collaborate with regional and global partners across functional units; adept at navigating a complex organization and influencing senior peers across cultures
Experience managing regulatory exams and relationships with examiners and auditors
Awareness of regulatory requirements including local and US laws, international standards
Advanced knowledge in the area of focus such as loan and credit management
Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
