Job Description

Accountant II position at Fraser in a hybrid role based in Bloomington, MN, overseeing the general ledger, financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and mentoring the accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Fraser and Independent Living/HUD financial close and related reporting.
  • Import Realpage reports into the Intacct accounting system.
  • Review general ledger activity across accounts.
  • Investigate uncleared balances, communicate findings to the team, and propose journal entries to resolve items promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare and post closing journal entries; research unusual items to ensure accurate monthly closes.
  • Reconcile or review corporate bank accounts and employee benefits accounts.
  • Produce and distribute monthly financial reports to department leaders.
  • Import payroll data from UKG payroll software into Fraser's financial system.
  • Support annual audit preparations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel skills; experience with Sage.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and US accounting practices; ability to research and apply new pronouncements and offer recommendations.

Schedule, Location and Pay

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, standard business hours
  • Hybrid remote in Bloomington, MN with 1 to 2 days remote per week
  • Starting pay range: $73,000 - $79,000 per year
