Job Description

This Associate Financial Advisor role with RIA Recruiting in Washington, DC offers a hybrid work arrangement, a base salary of $80,000-$90,000, and growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients' financial planning inquiries by phone or email, ensuring clients understand options and the implications of recommended strategies.
  • Prepare for and participate in semi-annual client review meetings.
  • Create and update comprehensive financial plans and present findings during client meetings.
  • Collaborate with outside consultants on tax, insurance, and mortgage matters to optimize client outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the Client Service team to ensure data and document requests are fulfilled.
  • Assist with trading and rebalancing client accounts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in financial services.
  • CFP designation, or current enrollment in a CFP program.
  • Interest in expanding knowledge of tax and executive compensation, with progression through related designations.
  • Ability to manage own workload without micromanagement.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Track record of following through on outstanding tasks to serve clients effectively.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and deadline-management abilities.
  • Experience with our systems is not required, but familiarity with Wealthbox, Advyzon, AssetMap, Holistiplan, Pontera, Jump, TaxStatus, Trayecto, or Schwab Advisor Center is a plus.
