Automotive Controller

This onsite Automotive Controller role in Ventura, CA offers a salary range of USD 150,000 to 165,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Office Manager and related administrative functions
• Manage financial statements and associated reporting
• Direct cash management activities and liquidity planning
• Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee risk management efforts
• Administer the organization’s insurance program
• Supervise IT operations within the finance scope
• Lead inventory reconciliation processes and accuracy checks
• Provide oversight of the HR department as needed
• Prepare and present reporting to the General Manager and owner
• Coordinate payroll processes and related activities
• Coordinate year-end compliance activities and related tasks

Requirements

• Preferred education: CPA or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum five years of experience as a Controller in a franchised automotive dealership or equivalent automotive industry experience
• Strong understanding of automotive dealership financials, floorplan management, and inventory processes
• Experience with DMS systems such as CDK and Tekion, plus related software tools
