The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst III supports a portfolio of medical center departments by delivering financial planning, reporting, and business-case development. Responsibilities

- Assesses the business environment through financial analyses such as SWOT, scenario planning, and strategic analyses, and prepares reports summarizing financial and economic data.
- Performs costing activities to identify opportunities for cost avoidance and cost recovery.
- Supports improvements in financial performance by identifying trends, highlighting operational issues, partnering with business units to address performance gaps, and implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Supports business modeling by developing best-practice models, analyzing risk alternatives, and creating what-if scenarios and forecasts using in-house tools.
- Assists in reporting regional or business-unit financial information by evaluating trends, preparing analyses and forecasts of income and expenses, and reviewing assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses using data from regional systems.
- Evaluates the financial impact of strategic initiatives by researching and analyzing alignment with the business vision and objectives.
- Creates budgets and forecasts under guidance by analyzing budgeting trends and coordinating with stakeholders to develop department and regional budgets.
- Performs advanced financial analyses (cash flow, pro forma P&L, variance analysis, NPV, IRR, discounted cash flow, and other economic analyses) and evaluates performance using standard templates and tools.
- Supports internal and external audits by assisting with audit schedules and reviewing results; analyzes field operations to assess financial performance.
- Supports financial statement analysis of business partners by evaluating viability and risk implications using software and published reports.
- Advises regional or business-unit leaders on strategic fiscal matters by preparing regular and ad hoc financial and statistical reports and coordinating reviews of financial results with leadership.
- Provides input for strategic financial planning through utilization and benchmark analytics, and prepares recommendations for financial plans, acquisitions, and operating forecasts while applying financial planning concepts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of Financial Planning & Analysis experience or directly related business experience.
- Equivalent work experience in a directly related field may substitute for the degree requirement.
- One (1) year of finance experience working in a medical center or clinical setting.
- One (1) year of experience consulting or working directly with clinical health care leadership.

Compensation
Salary range: USD 93,500 to 120,890 per year.
