Job Description

MomentUs Wealth Management, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, seeks a Financial Planning Specialist to support the firm’s advisor teams with financial planning work, data analysis, and client service. This onsite role in Bedford, Texas centers on proactive problem solving and delivering an exceptional client experience through precise analysis and collaborative support.

Responsibilities

  • Record meeting notes from advisor and client sessions and ensure action items are completed
  • Process trades in client accounts as directed by the servicing advisor, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Proactively monitor client portfolios and tracked metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and next steps before issues arise
  • Assist with tracking business performance metrics and prepare insightful reports for advisor review
  • Maintain currency on financial planning tools, investment platforms, and industry best practices under advisor guidance
  • Support financial planning activities, including data analysis, plan updates, and delivering high-quality deliverables using planning software
  • Maintain working knowledge of annuity, life, disability, and long-term care (LTC) application processes, as well as estate settlement procedures
  • Collaborate with the Ameriprise home office to resolve account service issues efficiently and thoroughly
  • Process transactions and service requests as directed, ensuring follow-through to completion
  • Handle ad-hoc client service needs and address escalated service issues from client service managers
  • Communicate confidently by phone with clients, prospects, and the home office
  • Monitor and respond to client emails and calls, prioritizing urgent matters and anticipating needs
  • Demonstrate ownership by identifying process improvements and contributing ideas to enhance client service and team efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by financial advisors and other team members

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of experience in the personal financial services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Series 7 license
  • Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65)
  • Texas Life Insurance license
