Interim Senior Accountant (Job# 107072)

Unity Search LLC invites applications for an Interim Senior Accountant to bolster the accounting team during a period of increased workload and ongoing process improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes payroll accounting, full-cycle accounting, and royalty accounting, with a focus on streamlining financial reporting and the close process.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll accounting across multiple employee groups (hourly, salaried, and union)
• Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close activities and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
• Help standardize reporting processes and improve workflow efficiency
• Maintain and clean up balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Support ad hoc accounting projects, including royalty accounting (nice to have)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
• 5–10+ years of accounting experience
• Strong payroll accounting experience (required)
• Full-cycle accounting
• Month-end close
• Reconciliations
• Experience working with multiple employee types and a process improvement mindset

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 45 - 65 per hour
