As a Senior Branch Premier Banker SAFE in Arlington, onsite, you will play a pivotal role in proactively attracting affluent clients, deepening relationships, and guiding clients toward financial options that align with their goals. You will collaborate with specialist teams to meet clients' financial needs while upholding prudent risk management.
Responsibilities
- Proactively acquire new affluent consumer and small business customers, and deepen existing relationships through outreach and pre-planned appointments.
- Review and analyze moderately complex customer concerns for resolution through discretionary application of applicable protocols.
- Escalate banking related issues or business risks that require in‑depth evaluation.
- Advise customers on various aspects of recommended and available financial options and services.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Wells Fargo's banking, credit and investment solutions and services.
- Identify client needs and goals for business, mortgage, retirement, and investment services, then partner with peers in Business Banking Advisory Services, Mortgage, and Wealth and Investment Management to best meet identified needs and goals.
- Understand and manage risks by adhering to policies, procedures and controls and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collect information from customers regarding income, assets, investments, and credit; analyze information to develop customized plans highlighting Wells Fargo options and services.
- Build relationships with branch colleagues, affluent customers, and partners to acquire, deepen, and retain relationships and help customers succeed financially.
- Exercise independent judgment in managing client relationships through regular meetings to review financial condition and goals, and provide advice on banking services and options.
- Be an active member of the branch team, guiding other branch employees on developing relationships and managing moderately complex to complex client needs.
- Note that this SAFE position involves customer contact and duties that may include offering or negotiating terms and/or taking applications for dwelling secured transactions; compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is required. Ongoing employment depends on meeting licensing requirements and background checks; Loan Originator requirements may also apply.
Requirements
- 4+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners.
- 3+ years of experience recommending products and services.
- Financial services industry experience in corporate, consumer, mortgage, investments, brokerage, or private banking;
- Experience recommending financial services products and services.
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and 63 exams (or recognized equivalents) to qualify for immediate registration.
- State Insurance license(s).
- 3+ years of experience in a licensed financial services position.
- Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
- Proficient in sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of book of business processes to actively manage Wells Fargo customers to meet needs and grow the business.
- Knowledge of Branch Banking compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention.
- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and share the value of self‑service digital banking options.
- Experience using business acumen to provide financial services consultation to small business customers.
- Knowledge of consumer lending products.
- Integrity and professionalism in interactions with customers and employees.
- High motivation with the ability to meet team objectives while maintaining individual performance.
- Experience mentoring and peer coaching others.

About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Branch Premier Banker SAFE in Consumer Banking and Lending within Branch Banking. Upon completing the required licensing and SAFE registration, the Senior Branch Premier Banker LP SAFE will transition to the Senior Branch Premier Banker SAFE role.
Job expectations
- Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
- Adherence to Wells Fargo sales practices and risk management culture.
- Current registration for FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (or equivalents) is required or must be completed within a specified period. For certain exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) co‑requisite will be required.
- For the states listed, Series 65 (or equivalent) may be required within a specified period; conditions vary by state and WY may permit certain exemptions. Licensing lists are subject to change.
- State Insurance license(s) required and must be completed within a specified period.
- Licensing requirements and timelines will be communicated upon offer acceptance.
- Obtaining and maintaining FINRA licenses is required for ongoing employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at offer acceptance. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment.
- Loan Originator qualification requirements under the CFPB and Wells Fargo policies, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards.
- A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility; a credit score is not part of the evaluation.
- Ongoing regulatory requirements and potential additional screening as necessary.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
