Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an ERP Developer to join its onsite team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role centers on maintaining and enhancing ERP systems, building custom applications that interface with the ERP platform, and delivering end-user training within a collaborative environment, with opportunities to pursue process improvements and broader system integrations. The position offers an annual salary of USD 110,000 to 130,000.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive support for the ERP system, ensuring stable operation and rapid resolution of end-user issues.
Design and maintain web applications that integrate smoothly with the ERP platform.
Develop and deliver training materials to educate users on ERP functionalities and custom applications.
Collaborate with users to identify opportunities for system improvements and implement effective solutions.
Offer technical support for integrated applications and ensure cross-system compatibility.
Lead project management tasks, including defining requirements, drafting scope documents, and mapping business processes.
Conduct gap analyses to identify enhancement opportunities and outline strategies to address them.
Create and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports to meet business needs.
Integrate ERP systems with third-party applications to optimize workflows and functionality.
Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to the software development lifecycle.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of ERP systems and related business processes; Oracle R12.2.13 experience is preferred.
Proficiency in PL/SQL, JavaScript, and PHP for development and integration work.
Develop and optimize queries, procedures, and reports using SQL.
Leverage full life cycle software development experience, including requirements gathering and process documentation.
Familiarity with Oracle APIs and integration techniques.
Communicate effectively with end users and stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption.
Demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects and deliver solutions on time.
Educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; at least five years of programming and ERP support experience.

Job Description

The Senior ERP Application Support Engineer provides day-to-day operational support, configuration, and issue resolution for ERP systems that underpin Finance and HR functions. The role prioritizes system stability, user assistance, and dependable execution of approved changes to ensure ERP applications effectively support business operations. This onsite position is based in Oakland, California, with a compensation range of USD 93,850 to 140,744 per year.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Finance, HR, business analysts, vendors, and IT colleagues to understand operational needs and ERP issues, delivering timely support and solutions aligned with approved designs and business requirements.
Deliver hands-on support for ERP applications, including configuration updates, user access control, workflow adjustments, and routine system maintenance. Implement approved enhancements and fixes under senior technical leadership guidance.
Assist with ERP related integrations to other enterprise systems such as EMR, CRM, banking platforms, and external vendors. Validate data accuracy and completeness for inbound and outbound integrations and escalate issues when needed.
Monitor ERP application health and performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues, incidents, and data discrepancies, serving as an escalation point for complex operational problems.
Ensure ERP operations comply with security policies, healthcare regulations, and internal controls. Support audits by providing documentation and system evidence as required.
Maintain technical and operational documentation for ERP configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
Provide user support, training assistance, and guidance to Finance and HR staff.
Assist with knowledge transfer and onboarding activities for new application support staff.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
Five or more years of experience in ERP application support, configuration, or enterprise application operations.
Proven experience supporting financial or HR systems in a regulated environment.
Experience working with vendors and third-party service providers.
Strong hands-on experience supporting ERP systems for Finance and HR modules.
Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with application integrations and data flows across enterprise systems.
Basic scripting skills (for example Python or JavaScript) used for automation or issue resolution.
Familiarity with healthcare interoperability concepts (HL7 / FHIR) from a support or validation perspective.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Clear communication skills for collaborations with business users and technical teams.
