Controller

The Controller at Rocket Health Partners oversees core accounting operations, including daily bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic finance initiatives within a fast-paced, multi-entity Dental Service Organization. The role is based in Houston, Texas, on-site, with a hybrid work arrangement described in the role summary. The successful candidate will lead the accounting function, ensure accurate and timely financial statements, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership, lenders, and boards to support decision making across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Establish and supervise a capable, high-performing accounting team that proactively supports the broader organization
• Create and uphold policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Manage daily operations of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and treasury and cash management functions
• Produce financial information for diverse stakeholders including the board of directors, executive leadership, lenders, and operations, while delivering insights into performance trends
• Design the general ledger and legal entity reporting framework for a complex multi-entity organization
• Coordinate with external professionals on year-end audits, tax return preparation, and insurance renewals
• Support the annual budgeting process, forecasts, ad hoc analyses, and various strategic initiatives

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• Minimum five years in a Controller role
• CPA designation highly preferred
• Strong technical accounting capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization
