Job Description
This Corporate Senior Financial Analyst role in San Francisco offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office, focusing on tracking financial performance, forecasting, and advising senior management on tactical and strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare management reports comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts, prior year, and trends.
- Maintain and refresh monthly and quarterly dashboard presentations for the C-suite and Board of Directors.
- Support the annual budget process by preparing and assisting with cost allocations such as management fees, health and welfare, and insurance costs.
- Develop new financial models and enhance existing ones to support strategic planning.
- Oversee the monthly cash flow schedule to ensure liquidity and accuracy.
- Assist with the company-wide capital budgeting process and maintain the capital forecast schedule.
- Compile and analyze the monthly capital report to inform decision making.
- Review capital change orders and project requisition forms to ensure accuracy and sufficient budgeted funds.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to maintain records for the Company’s self-insurance programs.
- Analyze cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to recommend actions and adjustments to procedures, plans, and controls.
- Drive efficiencies by streamlining, standardizing, and automating processes and reporting requirements.
- Leverage diverse data sources to capture company and market data for financial and business analytics.
- Assist with implementing, monitoring, and supporting financial reporting tools such as Hubble and GlobalSoft, including user training.
- Maintain and create financial reports and customized queries to support stakeholders.
- Produce ad hoc reports and analyses as needed by the business.
- Prepare year-end audit schedules to facilitate external audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance organization.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A, ideally in a corporate FP&A environment.
- Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and key metrics reporting, with strong accounting principles knowledge.
- Experience performing ROI calculations for capital projects, RFPs, and acquisitions, including NPV, IRR, WACC, and sensitivity analysis.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- ERP experience, ideally with JD Edwards.
- Proven ability to learn technologies quickly and manage change in a proactive, positive manner.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities across diverse responsibilities.
- Strong analytical thinking, statistical aptitude, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
