Job Description
The Financial Advisor role is an on site position with Northwestern Mutual in Saint Simons Island, GA. It is designed to support Lead Advisors and key departments through meticulous case preparation, effective client meetings, and proactive relationship management, with clear opportunities to advance into a Lead Advisor role. The position offers a salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year and requires a minimum of two years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all materials and ready Lead Advisors for client meetings to ensure a structured agenda and deliverables.
- Attend client meetings to document thoroughly, generate meeting summaries, identify action items, and coordinate follow-up with the client and team.
- Own and drive the follow-through and execution of action items arising from meetings.
- Facilitate progress during the initial planning experience, client onboarding, and ongoing reviews.
- Create and manage workflows and tasks to ensure quality and timely execution.
2nd Chair to Advisor(s)
- Prepare all necessary materials and prep Lead Advisors for client meetings to ensure agenda and deliverables are ready.
- Attend client meetings to facilitate thorough documentation, meeting summaries, action items, and follow-through with the client and team.
- Own and lead the follow-through and execution of action items from all meetings.
- Facilitate and monitor progress throughout the initial planning experience, onboarding, and ongoing reviews.
- Create and manage workflows and tasks to ensure quality and timely execution.
Plan Creation
- Serve as a liaison with the Home Office FPS to send and review plans.
- Review completed plans for accuracy, quality, and potential case strategy opportunities.
- Prepare questions and present them at Case Strategy Meetings.
- Identify and provide feedback to Leadership for planning and client experience enhancements.
Client Relationship Management and Service
- Serve as the initial point of contact for ongoing service questions and advice for existing clients.
- Identify service and advisory requests that involve Lead Advisor involvement or collaboration.
- Manage the client reviews schedule to ensure timely connections and follow-up.
Planning and Investment Support
- Support the Director of Investments and Planning with miscellaneous requests as capacity allows.
- Assist with miscellaneous project assignments as needed.
Qualification and Skills
- Life, Accident, and Health Insurance examination.
- Series 7 and 63 preferred (Series 6 may be considered in lieu of Series 7).
- CFP designation preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Highly proactive, engaged, and motivated to learn and pursue professional development.
- Polished presentation style.
- Thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Adaptive to change and evolving processes.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and general technology familiarity.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years in the industry.
- 2 to 5 years in financial planning concepts.
- 2 to 5 years in investments and insurance.
