Job Description
Based in Red Oak, Iowa, Farm Credit Services of America is seeking a Financial Officer - Portfolio to drive sales and relationship-building within an assigned producer segment. This onsite role blends advisory support with proactive loan product promotion, emphasizing tailored financing solutions and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The position offers a salary range of USD 70,500 - 128,820 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design customer packages and advise borrowers on financial information, pricing loans based on risk and profitability.
- Service assigned portfolios, develop business plans to grow market share, promote and sell loan products, and cross-sell all of the association's products and services while delivering an outstanding customer experience grounded in core principles and teamwork.
- Build a professional presence within the assigned segment by participating in commodity groups and networking with knowledge contacts in the agricultural industry.
- Support the association's image as a leading ag financial institution.
- May serve as the initial officer to handle incoming calls and walk-in visitors seeking new credit.
- Discuss credit packages with Analysts and participate in consensus decision making when appropriate.
- Advise customers on loan decisions and provide expert guidance related to their financial position and future credit needs.
- Collect required financial information and documents while delivering excellent service and timely responses to inquiries.
- Emphasize a development and learning period with a focus on understanding processes, initiating underwriting and selling skills, and building the foundation for a successful Financial Officer career.
- This role carries limited business development responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science or closely related field is required.
- 0-4 years of experience in lending, credit analysis, and/or sales within related financial services or an agricultural credit organization is required.
