Job Description

Regions is seeking a Real Estate Corporate Banking Associate in Charlotte to help design, originate, structure, and execute loan commitments, loan syndications, and capital markets products for existing and prospective REIT and Fund clients. The role combines analytical rigor with proactive relationship management, supporting cross-functional credit and underwriting teams to deliver fast, reliable banking solutions tailored to client goals.

Responsibilities

  • Understands client needs and identifies Regions’ products or actionable ideas to help clients achieve their goals
  • Develops and maintains detailed financial models to value REIT/Fund companies and project financial results
  • Collects, reviews, and documents receipt of financial statements, covenant compliance, and other deliverables while keeping credit files current
  • Supports senior bankers in relationship responsibilities, engaging with current and prospective clients and analyzing profitability to drive growth
  • Maintains proprietary databases by monitoring news, transactions, and financial information for clients and prospects
  • Assists in preparing pitches, proposals, client materials, and supporting analyses with limited supervision
  • Prepares financial analyses for renewal and credit servicing, elevating findings to the Credit Products Specialist for risk review
  • Coordinates between coverage teams and Credit Products partners to deliver the whole-bank approach with speed and certainty
  • Supports coverage and credit products in client prospecting, underwriting, closing, and portfolio management
  • Performs closing functions including review of loan documents, commitment letters, closing memos, and coordination with fulfillment
  • Monitors ongoing performance through benchmark testing, electronic file maintenance, and metric reviews
  • Validates risk ratings and identifies changes with oversight from the Credit Products Specialist and risk partners
  • Participates in recruiting, developing, training, and overseeing junior resources

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience
  • Formal credit training

Compensation

Position type: Full time

Compensation range: Minimum $94,012.38 USD; Median $125,307.00 USD

Incentive Plan

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees may receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.

Location

Charlotte, North Carolina (onsite) – specifically Charlotte Uptown.
