Senior Accountant

This onsite Senior Accountant role in Irvine, CA provides a salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year and invites you to contribute to the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and inventory-related accounting. You will be one of three senior accountants, focusing on prepaids, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, sales tax, and inventory-related accounts, reporting to the assistant controller.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities and support the month-end close process
• Prepare journal entries and maintain GL and account reconciliations
• Perform variance analysis to explain fluctuations
• Concentrate on prepaids, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, sales tax, and inventory-related accounts
• Conduct account reconciliations and establish new reconciliation procedures as needed
• Collaborate with the inventory manager on inventory related accounting, including 3-way matching
• Report to the assistant controller
• Handle general and technical accounting functions, create financial and accounting schedules, and contribute to monthly and quarterly P&L analysis and management reporting

Requirements

• Multi-entity and multi-location accounting experience is required
• Minimum three years of corporate accounting experience with hands-on exposure to the full general ledger and all balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, independent, with the ability to start and finish tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and communicate effectively to ensure timely, accurate work
• Experience in entertainment, hospitality, inventory, retail, or related industries is a plus
• NetSuite experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
