Job Description

Based in Cleveland, OH with a hybrid work arrangement, the Treasury Management Officer is a client-focused sales professional responsible for self-sourcing new business and selling treasury management solutions to business clients, while developing strategic sales plans and coordinating with internal teams to ensure effective implementation and ongoing service.

Responsibilities

  • Independently identify and cultivate new client relationships through targeted networking, referrals, and outreach.
  • Build and coordinate internal partnerships with Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Private Banking, and Business Banking to support calling efforts and promote treasury management services to borrowing clients.
  • Serve as an internal reference on the bank’s treasury management services, providing information without reliance on Product Management.
  • Establish and develop relationships with referral sources to communicate the bank's philosophy and team approach to relationship building.
  • Liaise with asset divisions and the Treasury Management Product team for training and new product development needs.
  • Respond to and resolve client inquiries and issues in collaboration with the Treasury Management Team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead meetings or project assignments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of sales experience in banking with demonstrated working knowledge of Treasury Management products.
  • Proven sales track record, ideally within treasury management or financial services, with experience in self-sourcing new relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Client-focused approach; able to uncover underlying needs, follow through on questions and requests, and view each interaction as an opportunity.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of banking systems and branch operations.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

Principal Activities and Duties

  • Self-source and cultivate new client relationships through networking, referrals, and outreach.
  • Develop and manage internal partnerships with Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Private Banking, and Business Banking to assist them with calling efforts and sell treasury management services to borrowing clients of the Bank.
  • Act as a reference for internal and partner inquiries about the bank’s treasury management services without reliance on Product Management for information.
  • Cultivate and develop relationships with referral sources regarding the bank’s philosophy and team approach to relationship building.
  • Act as a liaison for the various assets divisions and Treasury Management Product for training and new product development needs.
  • Respond to and resolve client inquiries and issues with the help of the Treasury Management Team.
