The General Accountant role is a contract position based in Irving, Texas, providing essential support for project accounting, financial planning, variance analysis, and reporting to project teams.

Responsibilities

Assist with project financial planning and management, including time recording, cost valuation, capitalization, and purchase order forecasting.
Conduct variance analyses comparing budgeted versus actual costs and deliver insights to project managers.
Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost estimates to support project tracking and governance.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide timely financial insights.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and accounting standards, with focus on internally developed technology.
Review contracts and monitor project cost performance.
Support financial reporting using tools such as Apptio One and Targetprocess where applicable.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
3–5+ years of experience in project accounting or related financial roles.
Strong experience in financial forecasting, reconciliation, and project accounting.
2+ years of SAP experience.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
