Loan Servicing Compliance Specialist (Quality Control)
Job Description
This on site role in Windsor, CT focuses on quality control across the Bank's loan portfolio. It involves establishing and maintaining QC requirements, validating system reports, and ensuring adherence to Bank policies and procedures, with ongoing monitoring to mitigate monetary and reputational risk.
Responsibilities
- Conduct reviews of reports and loan files in line with departmental procedures to meet customer and bank expectations.
- Maintain current procedures and coordinate the rollout of new processes to ensure regulatory compliance when needed.
- Update and manage quality control logs, note inventory logs, and the PIF log.
- Perform QC reviews on all new loan files, including core system checks and documentation.
- Execute QC activities on closed and denied or withdrawn loans as defined in policies and procedures.
- Review QC departmental reports for maintenance activities, accuracy, and completion.
- Follow up on post closing documentation items and escalate delays or quality issues to the management team to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain industry knowledge and stay current with regulatory changes affecting loan origination and operations; update procedures accordingly.
- Review daily rates to confirm accuracy within the core system.
- Review and mail all system generated notices.
- Complete internal file audits to ensure accuracy and retention of originals per regulatory requirements.
- Prepare PIC posting sheets daily to ensure correct loan allocations to the appropriate GL.
- Support document imaging initiatives.
- Balance DDA and GL accounts.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Post secondary education with one to three years of mortgage loan servicing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of regulations governing Residential, Consumer, and Commercial lending.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in operating the Bank’s loan servicing system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of the Bank’s loan products, loan regulations, and related policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact with coworkers and customers in a positive manner.
- Clear and concise information sharing to present ideas, facts, and technical information.
- Capacity to work under pressure with tight timelines and high volumes.
- Flexibility to perform a range of duties within the department following cross training without loss of efficiency.

Position Summary
