Responsibilities

Process and reconcile accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) transactions accurately and in a timely manner

Monitor receivables, assist with collections, and resolve billing discrepancies
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management and audits
Coordinate intercompany transactions with international offices
Maintain organized accounting records and contribute to process improvements

Requirements

Fluency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
7–10 years of accounting experience, capable of handling comprehensive accounting responsibilities, including AP/AR, closing and audit support. (Practical tax experience would be a significant plus.)
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles

This is a full-time, on-site Staff Accountant position based in the Greater Philadelphia area. The role reports to the Controller and supports month-end close activities across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities

Post payroll journal entries.
Perform daily cash reconciliations and cash reporting.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain the fixed asset subledger and update depreciation calculations each month.
Conduct ad hoc analyses as requested by the Controller or CFO.
Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, and occupancy tax returns monthly.
Assist the Controller with the preparation of monthly financial statements.
Support the annual financial audits and reviews performed by the external CPA firm.
Provide variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and prior year, as requested.
Collaborate with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams on month-end close processes.
