Job Description

Manage and deepen relationships with small business clients by delivering consultative banking, lending, and investing solutions, collaborating with cross functional teams and Centers of Influence to grow relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture consultative relationships with small business clients in the target market, with annual revenues from $1M to $10M.
  • Assess client needs, deliver value added financial solutions, manage a portfolio of existing clients, and drive new commercial relationships.
  • Collaborate with an award winning business banking team to offer a broad product suite that enhances the customer experience, increases loyalty, and improves profitability for both clients and the Bank.
  • Complete onboarding training through Business Banking University and Drive Sales, plus a commercial credit training program to identify, assess, and mitigate lending risk.
  • Maintain current market knowledge and cultivate relationships with Centers of Influence, including CPAs and attorneys.
  • Engage in meaningful community activity to expand the potential customer base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2+ years in a Business Banking Relationship Manager role or related business lending experience preferred.
  • Business to Business sales experience required.
  • Motivated self-starter with demonstrated leadership ability and potential.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment, leveraging strong internal and external networks.
  • Thrives in a fast paced, demanding sales culture with structured routines and goals for new loan and deposit generation, cross selling, and customer service.
  • Portfolio and account management proficiency preferred.
  • Solid understanding of core business products and services.
  • Proven sales record and outside calling experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, plus interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
