Associate Portfolio Manager on Citizens Bank's Subscription Finance & Services team in Boston, MA, overseeing subscription credit facilities for sponsors with AUM over $1B, with a focus on portfolio oversight, credit monitoring, analytics, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to senior Portfolio Managers and collaborate with junior analysts across the team.
- Assist underwriting for new transactions, upsizes, and facility modifications.
- Perform analytical reviews of fund performance, fundraising cycles, strategy, and LP base composition.
- Monitor borrowing bases, capital call activity, collateral eligibility, covenant compliance, and exposure across the portfolio of subscription facilities.
- Aid in coordinating periodic credit reviews, renewals, amendments, and waivers under guidance from senior team members.
- Track LP credit quality, commitment changes, side-letter provisions, and concentration metrics.
- Draft initial credit memoranda and risk-rating rationales.
- Ensure accurate data management, timely reporting, and proper document tracking.
- Manage documentation flow, data room content, and internal compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal partners (Credit, Risk, Treasury, Capital Markets, Operations) to support ongoing facility administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in finance, banking, accounting, private equity/private capital, consulting, or related analytical roles.
- Self-starter and collaborative team player with the ability to think strategically and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Proven ability to follow up independently and drive projects as the project manager on assignments.
- Internship or experience in corporate banking, underwriting, fund finance, private equity, credit, or leveraged finance is highly preferred but not required.

Pay Transparency
- Salary range is $91,000 to $110,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
- Actual pay depends on location, skills, and experience.
